‘Quarto Conto Energia’ (Fourth Energy Bill) Extends but Cuts Italian Feed-In Tariffs

The ‘Quarto Conto Energia’ (Fourth Energy Bill) was approved by the Council of Ministers this week. The bill replaces the ‘Terzo Conto Energia’ (Third Energy Bill) instead of extending until August 31, which was what had been anticipated. The new bill will govern photovoltaic systems installed in Italy from June 1, 2011.

USGBC faces $100 Million Class Action Lawsuit

In a self-proclaimed attempt to keep the green movement honest, Henry Gifford has filed a class action lawsuit against the U.S. Green Building Council. His motivation?

“I’m afraid that in a few years somebody really evil will publicize the fact that green buildings don’t save energy and argue that the only solution [to resource constraints] is more guns to shoot at the people who have oil underneath their sand.”

Two Million Unreported ‘Ghost’ Houses in Italy | Corriere della Sera
