We have a small office with a strong history of international education and work experience. We believe in the widely used maxim,

‘think globally, act locally’

an idea which we hope to bring to our designs through the study of international and local environmental and architectural conditions.

Our designs integrate beautiful architecture with environmental awareness and attention to traditional culture. Each design has a strong emphasis on the life-cycle costs of the building, with particular attention to local building methods and craftsmanship.

We believe that sustainable architecture is the inevitable future of the building industry and the most effective way to change our collective ecological footprint. We hope to play a major role in bringing Italy to that realization.

We created Emu Architects in early 2009, after having left Sydney, Australia, to return to Cavriago (RE), Italy. Starting with just a couple of projects for friends and family, we have invested a lot of time and heart into our company. We are constantly challenging ourselves to continue learning new building techniques and design methods. As such, we have been able to grow, not only our client base, but also our platform of knowledge about sustainable architecture.
