SAIE 2010 in Bologna, Italy

The 2010 edition of SAIE in Bologna, Italy, will be held this week from October 27 to 30. This year’s theme is ‘Integrare per Costruire’ (translated on their website as ‘Integrating to Build’).

The exhibition is divided into ‘piazze’ (plazas), with each of the following shows holding their own events. We’ve selected the ones that we think look most interesting, and they are listed under each ‘Piazza’.

USGBC faces $100 Million Class Action Lawsuit

In a self-proclaimed attempt to keep the green movement honest, Henry Gifford has filed a class action lawsuit against the U.S. Green Building Council. His motivation?

“I’m afraid that in a few years somebody really evil will publicize the fact that green buildings don’t save energy and argue that the only solution [to resource constraints] is more guns to shoot at the people who have oil underneath their sand.”
