Since 2008, we have been part of the technical staff for Castra Maiora, a residential building project in Casalmaggiore (CR). The concept of this innovative project is to combine together for the first time in Italy an energy Class A certification from CasaClima with a LEED Gold environmental certification from Green Building Council Italia.
The project, now under construction, calls for the demolition of some existing but abandoned residential buildings in the historic town center of Casalmaggiore (CR), and the construction of a new high-performance residential building.
The full list of technical staff for the project can be found at the website of Castra Maiora. The architectural design was developed by architect, Pacciani; the building envelope design was developed by architect, Chiarini of Studio Rinnova, in accordance with the standards set forth by CasaClima; while our role was to document and manage the credits for the LEED Gold certification.
Note | Contrary to what is stated on the website of Habitech, we did not take part in the design development of Castra Maiora: our participation was strictly as consultants for the environmental sustainability of the project.
