We were interested in learning more about the Manifattura Maiano range of natural and recycled fiber insulation products, mainly for use in roof insulation. Natural fibers tend to have specific heat values that are very suitable to this application. We also checked the thermal conductivity values for their sheep’s wool (0.042W/mK) and recycled (0.0358W/mK) fiber insulation products. We still need to evaluate the summer performance values of a product like this before considering it for a roof design.
